Makeup is about telling a story. It conveys a mood and defines an occasion. It is transformative in a personal and emotional way. You'll always remember the things that make you feel confident and empowered, and that, in short, is why I fell in love with this career. I love seeing clients feeling their absolute best when looking in the mirror, regardless of whether they are going home to work in their garden, or straight to the altar to recite their vows. It's art, it's therapy, it's memorable and, most importantly, it's you.
Makeup, for me, began as a curiosity, then a hobby, and morphed into a staunch mode of self-expression. Makeup was my way of telling the world exactly who I was and how I felt that day, everyday. It wasn't until I entered the Theater department at the University of Arkansas that I learned how incredibly powerful the art of the application of makeup is. It was then that I decided the world of makeup artistry was my home.
Shortly after, I began working in the beauty industry with iconic fashion house, CHANEL, as a Beauté Specialiste. I now travel as part of the Regional Artistry Team for CHANEL Beauté, as well as freelance for Giorgio Armani, and YSL cosmetics.
I also partner with agencies as a hair/makeup artist and stylist on set for video and photoshoots. Some of the clients I work with include Walmart, Sam's Club, vendors and nonprofit organizations. I’ve collaborated with talented professional photographers, videographers, art directors and fellow stylists to produce amazing creative content for omni-channel marketing campaigns.
I have continued my work in theater at the Walton Arts Center in Fayetteville. I style wigs and assist with makeup and wardrobe for Broadway productions on tour nationally.
